❓ Frequently Asked Questions & Troubleshooting

⚡ Category 1: Power & Battery Issues

If your dash cam powers off automatically during your drive, please follow these systematic checkups:

Step 1: Check Settings & Connection

  • Screen Saver: Check if the Screen Saver function is turned on. When active, the display turns black to reduce glare, but recording continues normally in the background.
  • Power Connection: Verify that the original car adapter is firmly seated in the 12V cigarette lighter port and the power indicator LED remains solid (not blinking).

Step 2: Component Isolation Test

  • Test the MicroSD Card: Turn off the camera, remove the SD card, and turn it back on. If the camera stays powered, format your SD card or replace it with a Class 10 / U1 / U3 high-speed card.
  • Test the Rear Camera: Disconnect the rear camera cable. If the main unit functions properly without restarting, the rear camera or its cable may need replacement.

  • Test with an Indoor Adapter: Bring the main unit indoors and power it using a standard 5V/2A–3A wall adapter (avoid using computer USB ports, which lack sufficient voltage). If it works smoothly indoors, the 12V car charger may be faulty.

  • Yes, standard 5V USB power sources are compatible.
  • Important: The DC25 requires a steady 5V / 2A power supply. For optimal performance and stable continuous recording, we strongly recommend using the original car charger included in your package.

  • With Mini Internal Battery: The camera can record short 10–15 second emergency clips when an impact/shake is triggered under Parking Mode.

  • For 24/7 Continuous Parking Surveillance: You must connect the dedicated Hardwire Kit directly to the vehicle fuse box for constant power.

💾 Category 2: Recording, Storage & Memory Card

The device features seamless Loop Recording, which automatically overwrites the oldest regular videos when storage is full. If recording halts, it is usually caused by locked emergency files taking up storage:

How Files Get Locked: When the G-Sensor detects bumps, sudden braking, or collisions, the corresponding video clips are locked as protected evidence and cannot be overwritten automatically.

Recommended Solution:

  • Regularly format your MicroSD card (every 2–4 weeks) to clear accumulated locked clips.
  • Adjust the G-Sensor Sensitivity to "Medium" or "Low" to prevent normal driving vibrations from locking files unnecessarily.
  • Safety Note: Do not disable the G-Sensor completely, as it ensures critical accident footage is safely preserved.

Turn off "Motion Detection" in the settings menu, as this feature pauses recording when no movement is detected in front of the lens.

Format the MicroSD card to FAT32 / exFAT on a PC, then insert it into the camera and format it again via the on-screen menu.

🛠️ Category 3: Installation & Hardware Adjustments

Professional installation by an auto technician is recommended.

Key Wiring Guidelines:

  1. Yellow Wire (BAT+ / B+): Connect to a constant power fuse slot (provides 12V even with the key removed).
  2. Red Wire (ACC): Connect to an accessory fuse slot (only powered when the vehicle ignition is on).

  3. Black Wire (GND): Securely fasten to clean, unpainted vehicle body metal.

  4. Caution: Never tap into critical safety fuses (e.g., airbags or ABS).

Step-by-Step Video Guides:

Make sure the thin red trigger wire on the rear camera cable is spliced into the positive (+) lead of your car's reverse light.

When reverse gear is engaged, the reverse light supplies 12V signal to the camera, prompting the screen to switch to backup assistance mode automatically.

The front camera lens supports multi-directional manual adjustment.

Gently swivel the lens module (up, down, left, right, or slight planar rotation) until the horizon aligns horizontally on the screen.

⚙️ Category 4: System, Buttons & Connectivity

  1. Unplug the Rear Camera: Disconnect the rear camera cable, power the unit on, and test the buttons.
  2. Check Memory Card: Eject the MicroSD card and reboot. A corrupted card can cause the firmware to hang.
  3. Hardware Reset: Use a pin to press the physical "R / Reset" pinhole to restore default factory settings.

Force-close background apps on your connected smartphone.

Restart both your smartphone and the dash cam device.

Test with a different mobile phone to rule out phone-side operating system compatibility issues.

  • Press and hold the Reset button to restore factory settings.
  • The default Wi-Fi password will reset to: 12345678.
