RC23 COMPATIBILITY & INSTALLATION
Check compatibility first. Then connect.
Confirm all three requirements before installing the RC23.COMPATIBILITY CHECK — ALL 3 ITEMS ARE REQUIRED
Your car must meet every requirement below.
The original vehicle display must support touch operation.
Use the USB port that transfers data—not a power-only charging port.
QUICK SETUP
Connect RC23 in 4 simple steps.
Choose the RC23 mode according to the car’s built-in wired system, not according to whether your phone is an iPhone or Android phone.
Confirm the car system
CarPlay car = green light. Android Auto car = blue light.
Plug into the USB data port
Use the same car USB port that passed the wired phone test.
Switch mode if needed
If the color does not match the car, hold Reset for 3–5 seconds until the light changes.
Pair the phone
When the RC23 page appears, turn on phone Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, then select the displayed Bluetooth name.

RC23 SUPPORT
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about compatibility, connection, apps, internet and warranty.01Can I install new apps?
RC23 uses a closed system. You can use the supported pre-installed apps, but you cannot install arbitrary apps yourself. Do not use unofficial software or firmware to unlock the system.
02Why is Gemini missing?
Available apps may vary by RC23 production batch and software version. Some units include Gemini; others do not. If Gemini was listed when you ordered but is missing, email your order number and a photo of the RC23 home screen to support.
03Are internet data and app subscriptions included?
No. Connect RC23 to a phone hotspot or vehicle Wi-Fi for online apps. Mobile data, paid app accounts and streaming subscriptions are purchased separately.
04How does the additional 1-year warranty work?
RC23 includes a 12-month standard warranty. Register an eligible order with your purchase platform, order number and email. After verification, 12 additional months are added for 24 months of total coverage.
05Will RC23 work with my car?
Your vehicle must have all three: factory wired CarPlay or wired Android Auto, a factory touchscreen, and a working USB data port. Tesla, BMW, wireless-CarPlay-only vehicles, vehicles without CarPlay/Android Auto, non-touch screens and power-only USB ports are not compatible.
06Nothing appears after I plug in RC23. What should I check?
Test the same USB port with a phone and a known-good data cable. Confirm that wired CarPlay or Android Auto opens on the car screen, then reconnect RC23. If it still does not appear, try another compatible data cable and check the car’s wired-system setting.

07Does green mean iPhone and blue mean Android?
No. The LED color matches the car’s wired system, not the phone. Green is CarPlay mode; blue is Android Auto mode. Either mode can work with a compatible iPhone or Android phone.
08How do I change the RC23 LED mode?
Keep RC23 powered. Insert the supplied pin into the Reset/Mode Switch hole, press and hold for 3–5 seconds, then release after the LED changes. Green is CarPlay mode and blue is Android Auto mode.
09The RC23 home screen appears, but my phone will not connect. What next?
The car-to-RC23 connection is already working. Open the phone-connection feature on RC23, turn on the phone’s Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, and follow the displayed pairing instructions. If pairing fails, remove the old Bluetooth record and retry while parked.
10Why will a built-in app not load?
Online apps require an internet connection. Open RC23 network settings and connect to a phone hotspot or vehicle Wi-Fi with working data. Then reopen the supported app. If only one app fails, note the app name and exact error.
11What should I do if RC23 disconnects, freezes or restarts?
While parked, check the USB connection and restart RC23 and the vehicle system safely. If the issue repeats, send support a short video, the LED color, the step that fails, your car model/year and your phone model.
12My car supports both wired systems. Which mode should I use?
Use the wired protocol currently enabled in the car. Verified wired CarPlay uses RC23’s green mode; verified wired Android Auto uses blue mode. We recommend starting with the car’s default CarPlay setting when available.
13The video is black or only plays audio. What should I report?
Confirm that the RC23 home screen works normally. Then note whether the problem occurs in a pre-installed app, during phone mirroring or with USB media. Send support the playback method, app name and exact error.
14I have a picture but no sound. What should I check?
Check that the vehicle audio is not muted and that the correct connected source is selected. Test another supported source while parked. If sound still cuts out, tell support whether it affects phone audio, a pre-installed app or USB media.
15My phone has internet. Does that mean RC23’s apps are online?
Not necessarily. Phone pairing and RC23 internet access are separate. For online apps, connect RC23 itself to your phone’s hotspot or another internet-enabled Wi-Fi network in RC23 settings.
16Can I play local videos or music from a USB drive?
Yes. Use the local-media option available on your RC23. If a file is not recognized, the file type or USB-drive format may not be supported by your version. Contact support with the file and drive details.
17Should I install a firmware update to fix a problem?
Only install an update confirmed by LAMTTO Support for your exact RC23 version and issue. Do not install firmware for another model or use unofficial unlock packages.
18Can video be used while the vehicle is moving?
Complete installation and setup while parked. The driver must not watch video while driving. Video is for passengers or safe parked use and must comply with local laws.
19How do I get warranty, return or technical support?
Use the support form on this page. Include your order number, purchase platform, vehicle model/year, phone model and a clear description or short video of the issue.
20Do I lose my standard warranty if I do not register?
No. Your standard 12-month warranty remains in place without registration. Registration is only required to request the additional one-year extension.
21Why do you need my order number and email?
The order number verifies your RC23 purchase. Your email is used to confirm the warranty extension and provide product-related support. Registration does not subscribe you to marketing emails.
22My card says 12 months. Can I get 24 months, and must I leave a review?
Yes. Eligible orders can receive 12 additional months after registration and verification, for 24 months total. No review or marketing subscription is required. Coverage dates follow the warranty terms.
