Installation and Accessories

The package includes: the Lamtto RC18 smart screen itself, a magnetic mount, a suction cup mount, a cigarette lighter power cord, an AUX audio cable, a wiring pry bar, auxiliary stickers, and an instruction manual.

Installation is very simple. There are two installation methods: clip-on installation and magnetic installation. If you choose magnetic installation, the mount is stable and reliable, with strong magnetic force. It's difficult to remove with one hand and requires a slight slide to detach, so you don't have to worry about the device falling off due to bumps during driving. The mount can be fixed to the car's air conditioning vent and supports 270° rotation adjustment, allowing you to easily adjust it to any angle without obstructing your view. After a week of use, you can even attach your phone to it! Very practical.

If you choose clip-on installation, simply hook the clip onto the air vent blades and tighten the screws to secure it. After installation, it is very stable and will not fall off even if shaken vigorously.

The RC18 also comes with a cigarette lighter power cord, a 3.5mm audio cable, an AV input interface, and a suction cup mount, but I personally prefer the magnetic mount.

Power-on and Interface

After connecting the power, the RC18 starts up. The interface is simple and is a standard Carplay interface. The screen provides brightness and volume adjustment options. Here comes the coolest feature: one-click switching between horizontal and vertical screens! With just a light tap, the screen can freely switch between landscape and portrait modes, which is very convenient!

Apple CarPlay Connection

Now, let's connect to Apple CarPlay. The connection process is very simple. Just find "T-86B" in your phone's Bluetooth settings and follow the on-screen prompts. The connection can be completed in seconds. After connecting, apps on your phone such as navigation, music, phone calls, and text messages can be displayed on the car screen. Using Google Maps navigation in portrait mode works great and runs smoothly. Switching to landscape mode, the experience is equally excellent!

Screen Mirroring/AirPlay Function

The RC18 also supports screen mirroring. Android users can use the "Super Link" app for screencasting, while iPhone users can use the AirPlay function. Select the AirPlay option on the RC18 screen, then find the corresponding device in your phone's Wi-Fi connection and enter the password to complete the connection. I played TikTok and YouTube videos on the car screen with my iPhone, and there was no lag or delay at all. The experience was very smooth!
